DOME CONSTRUCTION

Dome Construction Limited a New Zealand company founded in 1974 were building ferro-cement domes designed by W.G.Braine. After finding out about this new method of building domes, Dome Construction Ltd NZ signed a letter in 1977 acknowledging the inventor of this new unique method of dome constructions. In 1980 the inventor signed a New Zealand licence agreement with them. They built a number of these Dome Homes, the first one being 3 Dome Shells (shown above) in Christchurch, New Zealand, after many years of research, testing, design and construction by W.G.Braine in 1970s. This licence continued until Dome Construction Ltd went into voluntary liquidation in 1985.
