I am a born and bred New Yorker and as a child always wanted a pet but unfortunately I had to defer that wish until I was an adult. My first career was as a lighting designer in the theatre and I fell in love with a Golden Retriever named Ginger who traveled with me while working in various cities. Ginger went everywhere with me and I would not accept a new job unless the new job also took Ginger. Ginger was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 1 year of age and started my interest in veterinary medicine.
