As the only organization in Japan exclusively dedicated to eradicating shoplifting, JEAS provides assistance for the operation of "safe and sound stores." Moreover, based on the catchphrase, "A safe and secure community begins with the prevention of shoplifting," we vigorously engage in a wide range of activities. Thus, among other things, we establish mechanisms and arrangements that will support the smooth expansion and development of the market for shoplifting prevention systems; conduct research and studies for disseminating the use of shoplifting prevention systems; and communicate and coordinate with government agencies, various kinds of organizations, and the news media.
