Benjamin G. Larsen

Mr. Larsen has been practicing law since April 2010. His practice primarily focuses in the areas of family law, personal injury, criminal law, estate planning, and business law. Throughout his time practicing law, Mr. Larsen has spent hundreds of hours in the courtroom litigating cases in a variety of areas of law. Mr. Larsen became an equity partner at Kaufman, Nichols, and Kaufman PLLC in September 2017. Mr. Larsen has been practicing law since April 2010. His practice primarily focuses in the areas of family law trials and litigation, personal injury, and criminal law. Throughout his time practicing law, Mr. Larsen has thousands of hours in the courtroom litigating cases in a variety of areas of law. Mr. Larsen has a reputation for aggressively fighting hard in the courtroom for his clients and is commonly retained by clients with the intention to go to trial on their case. Prior to joining Farr Kaufman, LLC in April 2013, Mr. Larsen worked for Cordell & Cordell P.C., a domestic litigation firm. Jason T. Schow

Mr. Schow has been practicing law since October 2013. In March 2016, he joined Kaufman, Nichols & Kaufman, PLLC. Mr. Schow practices primarily in the areas of family law, juvenile law, and criminal defense, but has experience working with bankruptcies, personal injury, contract disputes, property law, and estate planning as well. Prior to joining Kaufman, Nichols & Kaufman, Mr. Schow worked as an associate attorney at the firms of Huntsman | Lofgran & Associates, PLLC in Midvale, Utah and Fontenot Law, PLLC in Bountiful, Utah, where he focused primarily on family law matters. During his second year of law school at Gonzaga University School of Law, Mr. Schow worked in the Legal Aid Clinic and helped clients with issues such as prisoner's rights, wills and trusts, and vehicle repossessions. During his third year of law school, he worked as a Legal Intern for the Coos County District Attorney's Office in Coquille, Oregon, where he prosecuted and tried misdemeanor offenses for both bench and jury trials. Prior to law school, Mr. Schow served as an enlisted soldier in the Utah Army National Guard from 2001-2009. In 2008-09, he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Mr. Schow was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family camping and exploring Utah's great outdoors. Kristopher S. Kaufman

Mr. Kaufman is one of the three founding partners of the law firm of Kaufman, Nichols & Kaufman, PLLC. From 2010 through 2013, Mr. Kaufman was a partner with its predecessor law firm, Farr Kaufman, LLC. Prior to moving back to Ogden, Mr. Kaufman was an associate with the Salt Lake City law firm of Tomsic & Peck LLC from 2005 through 2009. Mr. Kaufman began his legal career as a law clerk and young associate with the Salt Lake City law firm of Berman, Tomsic & Savage from 2002-2004. Mr. Kaufman concentrates his practice in civil litigation, focusing on disputes concerning business, divorce, personal injury, real property, and trusts & estates. Mr. Kaufman also assists business clients with a wide range of needs and assists individuals with preparing their estate plans. Mr. Kaufman has successfully represented defendants and plaintiffs in Utah federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate level. Mr. Kaufman was chosen by his peers as one of Utah Business Magazine‘s Utah Legal Elite for 2012, and 2014 through 2018. From 2008 through 2010, Mr. Kaufman was also named as one of the top young attorneys in the Mountain States region in the Rising Stars® list published by Super Lawyers® Magazine. Ron K. Nichols

Ron K. Nichols joined the practice of Farr, Kaufman in 1994 after having graduated from Gonzaga University's law school in 2 ½ years and in the top 10% of Utah State Bar examinees in the February 1994 exam. Prior to Ron's years of practice, he had many accomplishments. Ron graduated from the Police Academy, Valedictorian, and with a bachelor's degree in Police Science from Weber State University. Ron remained on the police force for over 3 years and moved on to become a Special Investigator and Team Manager for the Department of Child Support Services for 17 years. During his time as a Special Investigator and manager, Ron spoke at National Child Support Conferences and trained other states in child support collection procedure. The last few years with the agency, Ron spent writing child support policy for the State of Utah. At 41, Ron K. Nichols entered law school at Gonzaga University where he obtained his law degree in 2 ½ short years and has been practicing since being sworn into the State and Federal Bar in 1994. Ron has previously held the position of the Weber County Bar President in 1995 and is still actively involved with various continuing education. Ron has recently begun a practice for conducting mediation as well for civil and domestic matters.

Steven M. Kaufman is one of the three founding partners and presently managing partner of the law firm of Kaufman, Nichols & Kaufman, PLLC. From 1979 through December 2013, for 35 years, Mr. Kaufman was founding and managing partner of Farr Kaufman. From 1977 until founding Farr Kaufman, Steven M. Kaufman was a young associate in a large divorce and family law firm. Mr. Kaufman concentrates his practice in the areas of family and divorce law, personal injury, and criminal law. Mr. Kaufman has successfully represented clients in contested divorce and custody matters, plaintiffs in personal injury actions involving substantial settlements and verdicts, and defendants in all types of criminal matters. Mr. Kaufman was the President of the Utah State Bar Association in 1996-97. Steven M. Kaufman is actively involved in both the Utah State Bar and the Weber County Bar Association and was also President of the Weber County Bar Association in 1981-1982. Steven M. Kaufman founded the firm Farr Kaufman in 1979 with his partner and good friend Stephen Farr. After decades of successful legal practice, the two respectfully parted ways and the firm of Mr. Kaufman and his partners is now known as Kaufman, Nichols & Kaufman. From the beginning, Mr. Kaufman and his partners have been known in Ogden and throughout Northern Utah for the quality of their work and the results they achieved for clients both in and out of court.
