Bentley has been dancing at LA Dance Academy since she was 2 years old. She began her journey in the "Mommy & Me" program and eventually embarked on her journey to learn many versatile styles. Bentley is trained in Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Acro, and Aerial Silks. She started competitive dance at 9 years old and continues to be a part of the competitive dance world today. Bentley has participated in dance competitions and conventions all across North America, earning 40+ scholarships and awards in a variety of genres and categories. She has also performed in various events; including the opening and closing ceremonies of the Canada Games, Moscow's Great Russian Nutcracker Ballet, the Teddy Bears Picnic, and more. Bentley is currently competing with the LADA Explosion Dance Team as well as dancing for the CFL as a Winnipeg Blue Bomber Cheerleader. Bentley is eager to continue her dance teaching journey, and encourage students to learn and love the art of dance.

Carly started her dance training at the age off 11 at LA Dance Academy. She has trained in various styles including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. Soon after she started her training, Carly started to compete with the Jr Elite Dance Team. She has grown with her dancing and she continues to compete to this day with the Explosion Dance Team. Throughout her years of dancing, Carly has had many amazing opportunities to travel and represent LA Dance Academy in various competitions, fundraisers and workshops such as the Santa Claus Parade, Athena Women's Leadership Fundraiser and Nygard Fashion Shows. She has had the opportunity to compete against some of the top studios in the world at The Dance World Cup and also has worked with amazing choreographers such as Brian Freedman, Dave Scott and Tyce Diorio to name a few. Carly started her teacher training in 2011 when she entered the Teacher Assistant Program at LA Dance Academy. She has since graduated and became a faculty member in 2015. She is currently enrolled in the Faculty of Science at the University of Saint Boniface. Carly continues to share her passion for dance and her love for LA Dance Academy with her students as she continues to grow and learn every day.

Haley Kowalski

Haley Kowalski started dancing at age 5 and is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Latin Styles, and Tap. She has been a competitive dancer since the age of 8 years old, has performed in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Canada Games, danced in the televised grand opening of the human rights museum, and performed in 2 seasons of Moscow's Great Russian Nutcracker Ballet, and performed as 8 characters in Rainbow Stages's production of Shrek; The Musical, as well as 6 Characters in Rainbow Stage's Beauty and the Beast Production, Working as a backup dancer and co-choreographer for singer/songwriter Ricky Rickson, Performing two shows in Disney Springs Orlando, dancing at Rainbow Stages Encore Charity Gala in 2015 and 2016, and have received over 30 scholarships throughout her dance career. Recently she had the opportunity to teach/choreograph the River East Collegiate High School Dance Program. Additionally, she has taught Ballet, Acrobatics, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Tap at numerous dance studios in Winnipeg. Born and raised in the Phillipines, Juan first began dancing at the age of 9 after having seen videos from Youtube. Juan would spend most of the following years learning as much as he could from any video he could find, fostering in himself a love and passion for dance. In 2015, Juan got his first taste of what "real" dancing was like when he auditioned for Tec Voc's competitive dance team "DTC". Having been accepted, Juan was able to further his training under the mentorship of Sofia Costantini and Lee Banaga. In late 2016 Juan joined Sikat Dance Company and by his second year, Juan was offered the privelage of being a choreographer and mentor within the team. Juan began teaching at LA Dance Academy in 2018 where he continues to share his love for Dance today.

Kayla took her first dance class at the age of 3 and she has been passionate about it ever since. For over 25 years she has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and musical theatre and has completed her Pre-Primary through Grade Six, Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams. She competed in numerous provincial and national dance competitions and was a member of the Canadian National Hip Hop Team that competed at the World Championships in Bremen, Germany. She has had the privilege to train with professional choreographers such as Mia Michales, Tyce Diorio, Al Blackstone and many more. Outside of teaching Kayla has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and is currently completing her Bachelor of Education. She also works for Cherry Tree Productions as a dancer, DJ, and emcee. For fun, she enjoys taking aerial hoop, silks, and pole classes. Kayla strives always to bring out the best in her students, and her choreography has won many top awards and adjudicator recognitions. She is excited to bring her knowledge, professional training, and passion for dance to the amazing team at LA Dance Academy.

Kelly Swan

Kelly is an accomplished dancer, choreographer, and dance educator, who takes pride in inspiring young children, teens, and adults to love and appreciate the joys of dance. She is A.D.A.P.T certified in jazz and tap. Kelly has taught for over 25 years at a variety of different dance schools, and for 16 of those years, Kelly had the grateful experience of running her own successful recreational and competitive dance studio. After completing a competitive dance program as a young adult, Kelly's training has taken her to major cities across North America, where she attended MBS, Metro Movement, Broadway Dance Center, Edge School for Performing Arts and Harbor Dance Centre…to name a few. Kelly grew up in Vancouver where she received scholarships from dance conventions to attend the Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago for a full year, and for six months at The Henry Lee Tang School in New York City. As a professional dancer, Kelly has travelled the seas while dancing professionally on cruise ships and in the performing arts industry across North America. Her credits include, ‘'Mimi'' in Miss Saigon (Rainbow Stage), Beauty and the Beast (Rainbow Stage), "Little Eva" in The King And I (Rainbow Stage), Grease (Rainbow Stage), A Midsummer Night's Fever (MTYP), The Spice of Life (Fringe), dancer for Storm Dance Company, a dancer and choreographer for Brian Glow's touring show of Glow In The Dark. Film & TV credits include: Shall We Dance (Miramax), The Murdoch Mysteries (Bravo), Playmakers (Showcase), Falcon Beach (Global TV), Make It Happen, Less Than Kind (CityTV), Sonic Bloom music video (Much Music), music video for Jackie Shaw (Much Music), and has danced in an episode of the television series Todd And The Pure Book Of Evil. Laura started her dance training at the age of 4 in tap, ballet, and jazz. As Laura got older, she became a competitive artistic gymnast, competing for 8 years and got picked to compete for Team Manitoba in the western Canadian gymnastics championships. When Laura was 15, she wanted to continue her love for dance but also wanted to continue her passion for tumbling, so she became a competitive Acro, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and ballet dancer. By adulthood, Laura started teaching jazz, lyrical, and competitive Acro for all ages. She is NCCP level 2 certified as an artistic gymnastics coach and is also an acrobatic arts certified dance instructor. As owner & Director of L.A. Dance Academy since July of 2003, Lucy Reveco brings a wealth of experience not only in the performing area but as well as Choreographing, teaching and coaching students for over 30 years. Lucy has trained in various dance styles including ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Cheerleading and Latin. She holds a Bachelor degree in Physical Education from the University of Manitoba, and is also a member of the International Dance Council (CID) and Dance Manitoba, along with various dance studio owner/director business organizations both nationally & internationally. She started her very own dance program/business back in 1989 at the West Kildonan Community Centre. She then expanded and carried over her dance program at the Wellness Institute at Seven Oaks general hospital. This later led to finally opening up her own dance studio in the heart of the North Kildonan community as what is known today as L.A. Dance Academy which was established in 2003. Lucy has extensive dance experience in performing at a professional level with the Winnipeg Thunder High-Performance dance team and also with the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Cheerleaders where she later became the head Choreographer and Coach for eight more years. She has assisted and choreographed with many CFL Grey Cup half time shows across Canada including Shania Twain. She also took the former Blue Brigade and transformed the team from a pom-pom sweater squad to one of the best dance and most respected dance performance teams in the C.F.L. from 1996-2003. Now celebrating over 16 years of L.A. Dance Academy, Lucy has also taken her performance dance teams to a number of dance competitions and performances across Canada & the USA to showcase their talent at the New York Broadway Pulse dance conventions from San Francisco to Orlando. Her powerful and competitive dance teams have achieved great success not only in Winnipeg but also representing Manitoba at the Dance World Cup in both Mont Tremblant & Whistler. Besides competing, her commitment to charitable community events in the city of Winnipeg has also been showcased at the Children's Wish Foundation Celebrity Gala's, Children's Museum "Way off Broadway" and the annual Children's Hospital "Teddy Bear Picnic". Lucy's love and passion for dance and children have led her to be a mentor to all her staff and students, who have won countless dance competition and awards not only in Winnipeg but also on the National scale. Sofia has choreographed and performed for many television specials, movies, and professional theatre companies. Sofia has had the honor of working with talented Canadian and American actors and dancers. She was personally requested by Patrick Swayze to jam in a studio together during the filming of the movie "One Last Dance". As well, dancing in movies such as ‘"Shall We Dance" and "Make It Happen", with celebrities Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez and Mary Elizabeth Winsted. You may have also seen her in the Treehouse children's television series, "The Toy Castle". Respected in her field, Sofia conducts dance seminars, adjudicates, and appears as a guest teacher all across Canada, most recently, Lux Dance Company and Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver. She also consults with dance-industry based organizations on everything from quality to curriculum. As well, she was previously the department head for the prestigious Royal Winnipeg Ballet school, where she developed the jazz curriculum for the RWB Teacher's Course, worked extensively with the school' s professional division and Aspirant programs and choreographed on the RWB company. Amongst her many initiatives, Sofia sits on the 9-12 dance curriculum development committee that is working to implement and build the dance framework for the Manitoba Provincial Education system. The curriculum is recognized and accredited throughout all schools in Manitoba. Ms. Sofia currently runs the dance program at Tec Voc High School and leads Dance Tec Company, actively offering youth performance and competitive dance opportunities. Over the years, many of her students have gone on to pursue successful careers as studio owners, professional dancers, performers and more. Tayler has worked with multiple choreographers from around the world at various workshops. While doing so, she has been awarded scholarships at conventions as well as competitions. She has competed at The Dance World Cup as a soloist and with her team, competing against different studios from around the world. Tayler started as a Teacher Assistant in 2013. She graduated the Teacher Assistant Program and became a faculty member in 2019. Tayler is currently studying Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba. Dance is an integral part of her life and she hopes to share her passion with her students at LA Dance Academy.

Thomas was also a recipient of Triple Threat Dance Scholarship in 2016. Thomas is currently attending his first year of University and is also a member of the L.A. Dance Academy Senior Jazz and Senior Tap Competitive Dance Teams. Thomas has been a teacher assistant for many years and had the pleasure to train alongside Ms. Jessica in 2017 with the junior tap competitive program. Thomas completed his teacher assistant training in 2018 and is now officially a co-teacher to our Junior and Elite Tap Teams and teaches his own classes in the recreational program.

Victoria Exconde is a Filipino artist based in Winnipeg, MB. She is an emerging musical theatre performer and aspiring choreographer. Victoria graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts in both Dance and Theatre and graduated from the Senior Professional Program at The School of Contemporary Dancers. She has participated in readings for Joseph Sevillo's new musical, Ma-Buhay!, and has trained with Andrea Macasaet for BeltFest YWG. Victoria is a member of Winnipeg Studio Theatre's StudioWorks Players and continues to share her talents within the Filipino community with Joy Lazo's Highlights Performing Group.
