Lounges Direct has a mission. That is to provide 100% Australian manufactured sofas, chairs and upholstered furniture to the Australian market. We have been involved in the furniture industry for over 10 years and are frustrated at the inability of Australian manufacturers to compete in our own market... Over the years we have toyed with the idea of beginning manufacture again, but the costs of labour and property were too high for us to take a punt. The idea for Lounges Direct has been germinating for quite a while. How do we support Australian Made product without the excessive overheads that can ruin manufacturing businesses?
