The Lyle S. Hallman Foundation (LSHF) acknowledges that our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples. We are situated on lands within the Haldimand Treaty of 1784, a formally ratified agreement recognizing six miles on either side of the Grand River as treaty territory belonging to Six Nations of the Grand River. We also acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies of the Indigenous peoples with whom we share this land today. We strive to continue to learn the truth and embrace the ongoing work of decolonizing our practices and programs... We invest so that children grow up loved and resilient with families that are strong, neighbourhoods that are connected, institutions that are healthy and systems that are creative and dynamic.
