MACDIARMID LEGAL

I was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 after graduating with degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney in 1985... For the first ten or so years of my career, I worked in the Sydney CBD, practicing in both family and commercial law. In 2001, I left my position as a Director at national commercial law firm Gadens Lawyers (I worked in Gadens' commercial law and banking & finance sections and was head of their national franchise practice group) and moved to the Blue Mountains where I became Principal Solicitor at Elizabeth Evatt Community Legal Centre, a non-government organisation providing free legal assistance to people in social and economic disadvantage across the Blue Mountains, Greater Lithgow, Bathurst, Oberon and Mudgee regions. Immediately prior to establishing my own practice in 2011 I worked as a family law specialist consultant at prestigious Western Sydney firm Coleman Greig Lawyers.
