Chris Butler

Job Titles:
  • Director & Senior Physiotherapist, BHSc ( PHYT )
Chris graduated from AUT in 2003 and has been working in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy field since. He has spent time working in New Zealand, Ireland and in the UK. Chris has completed further training in Acupuncture & Pilates and has found great benefit to his patients' when incorporating these treatment methods. He also has further clinical interest in Running Biomechanical Assessments and Shoulder rehabilitation. Chris believes in a hands-on treatment approach but also feels that education is key to injury management. Chris has played rugby most of his life, including semi-professionally in Ireland and England. Now that his playing days are behind him you will see Chris out running around the Mount and surfing any chance he gets. Chris also has interests in Triathlon, skiing/snowboarding, and fishing.

Eboni Ellison

Job Titles:
  • SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Eboni graduated from Auckland University of Technology and has 20 years experience as a Muskuloskeletal Physiotherapist, honing her skills in a range of private practice clinics in both NZ and the UK. Some of which include time working in the Pilates rehabilitation setting. Eboni completed a post graduate cert in Hand and Upper Limb Therapy and has spent time working in this specialty field also. More recently whilst juggling life as a busy mother of four, Eboni is pursuing her passion towards the holistic and integrative nature of visceral and neural manipulation through the Barral Institute. Eboni has also trained in such therapies as Craniosacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute and Breathing retraining with the Bradcliff breathing method. Eboni combines her skills in communication, exercise prescription, specialised manual therapy and therapeutic touch passionately and confidently. Eboni works part time at our Dee street clinic.

Filipe Faria

Job Titles:
  • Acupuncturist
Filipe is an acupuncturist trained by the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine (NZCCM) in Auckland. He has learned from and has been supervised by some of the most skilled and experienced Chinese medicine practitioners in New Zealand. His interests in health go beyond Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), they also include yoga, nutrition, psychology and neuroscience. Filipe is keen to get you pain-free and help you to recover from any injuries. However, he enjoys practising the full spectrum of TCM and can treat many other issues such as digestive complaints, insomnia, stress, psycho-spiritual challenges, infertility and others. Besides his Bachelor of Health in Acupuncture, he also has another Bachelor of Science in Biology which complements his understanding of the world and its organisms, including you. He is originally from São Paulo, Brazil and has been living in NZ since 2007. Recently moved back to Mount Maunganui which is a special place for him. When not working Filipe enjoys spending time with his partner, surfing, hiking in the Kaimai range and travelling. Filipe is an ACC provider so can treat you at a subsidised rate under ACC. Freya Tobin-Schnittger

Freya graduated from University College Dublin in 2017. After working with rugby and Gaelic football clubs in Ireland, she moved to New Zealand in 2018 and has been loving every minute of her time here. Freya draws on a variety of modalities in her physiotherapy practice which are tailored to the needs of the individual. These include hands-on treatment, dry needling, exercise prescription and an emphasis on education as a way to empower patients on their rehabilitation journey. She believes in a holistic approach to health and is passionate about helping people get back to doing what they love. After spending three winters in Queenstown, you will now find Freya enjoying our beautiful beaches and exploring the Kaimai's.

Judy Wilson

Judy has returned to the BOP after several years in Auckland. Judy has had a long career in fitness, teaching Jazzerjetics, aqua aerobics,Yoga, Pilates, Personal training and managing the ladies gym at Lesmills. Judy is passionate about Pilates and the self awareness that it promotes

Pam Doe

Pam moved to the Mount from Feilding 6 years ago for a lifestyle change and to be closer to family in Auckland. Pam brings with her 9 years management experience and a passion for people. Pam loves the beach, watching sport, walking, cycling & pilates. Pam also enjoys gardening, floral art & cooking.

Paul Keating

Job Titles:
  • Senior Physiotherapist
Paul is originally from Ireland and graduated in 2017 from the University of Essex in the UK. Prior to this he obtained his bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick in Ireland. He has worked in private practice in the UK, Ireland and Australia before moving to New Zealand earlier this year. Paul utilises a hands-on treatment approach to reduce clients' pain and has a strong focus on movement and exercise-based rehabilitation to restore function and prevent injury recurrence. He has further training in dry needling, which he finds can also be very useful tool in aiding recovery. Paul's clinical interests include conditions of the spine, the shoulder and the knee. Away from the clinic Paul can generally be found outside, with surfing, hiking and camping being big passions of his. Paul has played hurling and Gaelic footy since childhood and also enjoys taking part in triathlons and adventure races. As an active person Paul appreciates how important pain free movement is to our overall wellbeing and he strives to get everyone he sees back to doing what makes them happy.

Rachel Dobson

Rachel joned us in 2013. Rachel moved here from Yorkshire in the Uk with her hubby and 2 kids. Rachel's background is in retail and wedding photography. " I love sport ...all sport watching and playing although more watching than playing these days. I love cycling & been outdoors and love living in the bay ...no going back!"
