Openground is now an Australia-wide charity for mental health. We generate transformation through engaging people and organisations in evidence-based participatory, behavioural medicine programs, drawing on mindfulness meditation. These programs are helpful for people with a range of physical and mental health challenges including stress, isolation, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, pain and illness, and existential concerns... Openground Pty Ltd is directly responsible for the MBSR courses in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane and the professional training programs, retreats and most workshops. Courses in all other centres are operated by associates of Openground, and the respective teachers of those courses are responsible for all aspects of course delivery, advertising, fee structure and professional and clinical decision-making. The teachers group of Openground functions as a source of ongoing peer supervision, consultation and support in the service of making the MBSR..
