Anwesha Sarkar

Anwesha's background in Social Anthropology from Amity University, NOIDA, U.P. is coupled with her extensive experience in the area of maternal and child health. Her work at SIFS and GTB Hospital in Delhi, particularly focusing on maternal and child nutrition, underscores a vast experience to improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations. Anwesha's involvement in the group research project on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan highlights her broader engagement with community-based initiatives aimed at promoting public health and sanitation. Dr. Helen R. Sekar

Dr. Helen R. Sekar holds M. Phil and PhD from the Madras Christian College, Madras University. She has been the Senior most Faculty Member holding the position of Senior Fellow at the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute (VVGNLI), NOIDA. She was coordinator of the National Resource Centre on Child Labour and the Editor of the quarterly ‘Child Hope'. Helen has been involved in primary and secondary research, advocacy, training, planning, monitoring and evaluation over three decades mostly focusing on children's economic and social roles, health and educational aspects and labour dimensions of migrant and trafficked children, legislation and enforcement, impact of technological change on the demand of child labour, structures, etc. She conceptualized the geographical area-specific strategy and methodology of organizing the unorganized labour and conducted a series of rural camps. Helen has presented research papers in different national and international forums and published. She has developed curriculum for different Universities in India and is the examiner for many Ph. D and M. Phil scholars in Central and State Universities across the country. Helen has coordinated the SAARC-level conferences and international-level Training Courses. She is associated as a Member of major National Level Commissions, Committees, Boards, Working Groups, etc., constituted by the Government of India and collaborating with the Central Ministries and State Governments and other social partners and stakeholders ccontributing to policy formulation and implementation.

Dr. Mala Bhandari - CEO, Founder

Dr Bhandari is the nominated member of several district level committees and Sexual Harassment Committees constituted under The Sexual Harassment for Women at Workplace Act, 2013. Mala is Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Delhi. Her area of research has been Women, Work and their Quality of Life. She has had a three years Post-Doctoral research experience in Gender and Development from University of Pune, Maharashtra. Coming from a Punjabi family, she was born and brought up in the multi-cultural environment of Delhi. With a liberal upbringing, she had the freedom to choose her career. A restless and an odd one out in the family, she raised questions on existing socio-cultural practices particularly those related to women and young girls. She opposed the social customs, rituals, traditions and the male powerhouse that she felt around. The school gave her an opportunity to lead a youth rally against the mush ashamed, practice of Dowry. She led the young students with chants of Dowry Nahi Lenge Nahi Denge. The study of Sociology in college was a turning point of her life. She related to the basic concepts of Sociology very well. It was like this particular subject gave an expression to her thought, views and perspectives. She decided to pursue the subject as a full time career option. The travel across the country gave her the first hand experience of the on-ground social realities. She worked with diverse communities in different regions. She conducted research in various social issues with the cross cutting theme of gender. She wrote many research papers and made presentations at conferences and seminars. She travelled outside for training and paper presentations on issues of child rights & basic education, child protection, family life research and women empowerment. In the year 2004, she decided to work through the not-for-profit sector with a personal commitment to work for women and children. With a strong urge to change the existing realities of life for women and children, she, together with other development professionals, founded a Not- for- profit organization, Social and Development Research and Action Group (SADRAG) with an overall vision of Equality of life for all. She envisioned a life of dignity and self respect for women and children through self-reliance and capacity building through basic education, health, skill development and access to livelihood opportunities.

Dr. Richa Awasthy

A Post Graduate in Psychology with specialization in Organizational Behavior, Richa is teaching faculty in School of Business, Public Policy and Social Entrepreneurship at Ambedkar University, Delhi.

Dr. Sumati Varma

Hari created a niche for himself especially considering his journey from M.Phil. days at the university to the field of Development Journalism. While observing and analyzing grassroots sociological concepts and realities, Hari has redefined many concepts in the realm of politics of development. He has traveled widely in the quest to understand regional diversities and existing social realities of India which provide a definite edge to his work. Hari is currently a Journalist in New Delhi Bureau office of The New York Times. He regularly contributes to the Indian story of NYT, the newspaper with worldwide influence and readership. His factual stories on social realities facts and politics are well appreciated all over the world.

Karuna is a young and enthusiastic individual with a sensitive bent of mind. A post-graduate and a degree in travel and tourism to her credit, Karuna has worked extensively in the Indian tourism industry. Karuna is the founding member of SADRAG's grassroots interventions particularly for literacy and education for out of school children and economic empowerment of migrant women in district Gautum Budh Nagar, U.P. She had planned and framed the learning and activity curriculum for children who were outside the realm of formal school system. She curated the projects for migrant women and linked them with corporate marketing channels. At present, Karuna is managing the Bangaluru chapter of SADRAG, building networks and coordinating several activities with women and children.

Mr. Rakesh Malik

Mr. Rakesh Malik is a graduate in Commerce from the prestigious Hansraj College, University of Delhi. He has been working in the Accounts domain since 25 + years. Puja Kumari

Her first engagement was being the member of Child Line Greater Noida team where she handled complaints of children in distress. She worked diligently for the rescue of children from violence and abuse collectively with her team. Puja worked in Child Line, the 24 hours helpline for children for nearly 6 years. Puja is currently handling the admin and logistics for various on-ground activities of the organisation. She understands the challenges of field work and is therefore always in front to provide all possible support in teams working in the field. Puja is a quick learner and is eager to learn the ropes of her new assignment along with taking the ownership of her new job and responsibilities. Her constant smile is a feast to all.

Roopak Chauhan

A qualified Engineer in Electronics & Telecom, Roopak has had a long association with IT industry. He left IT to join the development sector around 12 years back.

Supriya Singh is a writer and sociologist of money and migration. Supriya was born in India and moved to Malaysia at 23. In 1986 she migrated to Australia. She lives in her homes in Melbourne and Dharamshala, and has two sons and three grandsons. Supriya is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Social Inquiry at La Trobe University, Australia. In November 2023, she was elected as Co-Chair of the Multicultural Women's Alliance Against Family Violence, Australia.. She is a Distinguished Alumna of Delhi School of Economics, and an Illustrious Alumna of Miranda House, University of Delhi.
