SIRIUS RETRIEVERS

Kelli and Jason Cyr are the breeders behind Sirius Retrievers and are located in Bolton, CT. We are a small preservation breeder and have litters only very occasionally (once every 1-3 years)... We strive to maintain the exceptional versatility of the toller and regularly participate in AKC all-breed and specialty shows, hunt tests, agility, and obedience trials... In 2009, we decided that we were ready to get our first dog as a couple. Jason was interested in an occasional hunting partner, and Kelli wanted a super-smart dog that would make an awesome and active family pet. We wanted a medium-sized dog, one that we could pick up and carry in a pinch if needed. We did a ton of online research, but nothing seemed to fit what we were looking for. Then we came across the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. It was perfect! But… we had never heard of or seen this breed in person… and it had a weird name… we thought, they can't be that great if they aren't popular, right? We kept looking..
