Starkville is a city in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, United States. As of 2008, the city population was 24,000. It is the county seat of Oktibbeha County. A college town for more than a century, Starkville is surrounded by the energy and enthusiasm the university brings. Boasting an enrollment of more than 17,000 students, 700 faculty members, and an alumni family of over 82,000, Mississippi State University is the largest university in the state. The university is also the largest employer of Starkville and dominates the city's economy... We are a small "Mom and Pop" operation. We have been apartment owners for over 30 years. Laura currently is employed part-time at the Bagley College of Engineering at MSU. Pat is a retired pharmacist. Our 24 year old son, Jack, is in graduate school at the University of Michigan.
