Anne is a fourth generation Alabama lawyer from Bay Minette, Alabama. Since 1996, Anne has practiced law in Kinston, Alabama, which is located in Coffee County in southeast Alabama. Before moving to Kinston, Anne practiced law for over 9 years in Birmingham, Alabama after she completed a federal judicial clerkship in 1988 with the Hon. Sam Pointer, then the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. From 1988 to 1991, Anne served as an associate with Cabaniss, Gardner, Dumas & O'Neal. In 1991, Anne joined Walston Wells & Birchall, LLP, where she became a partner in 1995. Anne continued to practice with Walston Wells following her marriage to Andy Sumblin in 1996 and her subsequent move to his hometown of Kinston, Alabama. Effective April 1, 2010, Anne began her legal practice under Stone Sumblin Law LLC where she continues to represent her clients from her office in Kinston.
