TARI SHATTUCK

The Tari Shattuck Education Foundation (TSEF) was founded in 1992 in honor of Tari Shattuck, a dedicated and innovative classroom teacher, who passed away from leukemia. Tari was instrumental in the forming of the Foundation, and provided gentle guidance until she became too ill to participate... Each year TSEF purchases more than 250 books for the elementary school libraries in the five-town area, as well as books for the Mt Abraham Union Middle and High School library. The elementary school libraries receive a complete set of the award-winning Red Clover and Dorothy Canfield Fisher books. We estimate that TSEF has added over 5,000 books to the school libraries.
