The Disabled Children's Trust is a non profit making organisation (recognised by the charities commission as a small charity), run, managed and staffed by trustees and volunteers who do not receive a wage, remuneration or commission therefore allowing over 90 pence of every £1 donated to go directly to helping disabled and handicapped children. The trust is also registered at Companies House as a Charity under the number 6933058... Originally formed to help disabled and handicapped children from birth to 18 years in a Bulgarian orphanage, which has now been thankfully closed and the children have been moved to a modern building and they are all getting proper care and support. Although the charity still has close links with Bulgarian orphanages, a decision has been taken to help disabled and handicapped children of the same age group throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, & Humberside. Our office being centrally situated in this area in the town of Goole.
