Becca has spent her entire career in the public sector, mainly in roles involving science and technology. Becca started her career as a clinical scientist in the NHS, before moving into forensic science for 14 years where she was an operational scientist and manager and then moved into programme management.
In 2013 Becca joined the Home Office and the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme. Becca was the Director of Deployment and User Insight on ESMCP until January 2022 when she left to take the lead on transforming the UK's Asylum and Protection system.
Becca is passionate about encouraging more women into science, technology, and leadership roles and is an active mentor and coach. She has been a regular speaker at BAPCO events and was delighted to be invited to take up the role of Trustee.
Chowdhury is a Managing Consultant in the Cyber Consulting Practice for Leonardo's Cyber & Security Solutions Division in the UK. He has extensive experience within both public and private sectors working with different tier organisations around the world over the past 15 years. He has an inquisitive mindset and his thinking outside the box approach has led him to successfully deliver multiple national and international transformation programmes. He has led teams of engineers, software developers and architects around the world to deliver cutting edge technologies for both public and private sector organisations and Critical National Infrastructures

Duncan Swan joins British APCO as the Chief Operating Officer in March 2022 following his retirement as a Director with UK IT Advisory firm, Mason Advisory. He has nearly 40 years' experience of public safety technology gained through working for Philips Communication Systems and, since 1995, delivering consultancy firstly for Mason Communications and then finally for Mason Advisory. Duncan has provided strategic and technical input on assignments delivering mobile communications and associated technologies for public safety organisations here in the UK and further afield, and most recently leading the Mason Advisory team delivering professional services to the UK Home Office Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme.
He has a long association with British APCO reaching back to 1998 when he became an active member and joined the Commercial Advisory Group (CAG). Duncan stepped up to chair the CAG from May 2000 through until April 2004 - during which time he brought a new sense of purpose to the role of commercial members in the Association; in 2005 he was awarded the inaugural Gareth Wilkinson Memorial Award "in recognition and appreciation of outstanding leadership and contribution to the development of BAPCO and personal commitment to the ideals and purpose of the Association"; and in March 2017 he was presented with the highest British APCO award of Life Membership. He has been a regular conference speaker and contributor/editorial adviser to industry journals - and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology and a Member of the Institute of Directors.

Jenny manages sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for British APCO throughout the year via exhibition and sponsorship at British APCO's Satellite Series Events.
Jeremy has also been involved with technology and public safety for over 20 years.
Throughout this time, he has seen British APCO perform the vital role of bringing together end users and suppliers ensuring there is an independent voice and forum where stakeholders have access to the right information and guidance. As the challenges for blue light organisations grow year on year - Jeremy sees the role of British APCO becoming even more relevant and important. Becoming a Trustee allows him to be part of the challenge to make sure emergency responders get access to and the full benefits of the latest solutions to enable them to carry out their vital work, safely and efficiently.

John is currently working with the Home Office as a Business Partner on the ESN programme having previously served for over 45 years with the London Fire Brigade as the Project Director for ESN Transition, having previously been the Business Change Lead on the Emergency Service Communications Programme (ESMCP) representing the interests of the Fire Service nationally. Previously he served in an operational capacity as Assistant Commissioner where his responsibilities covered Operational Response which included mobilising and the regional control room, incident command policy, incident communications, operational staff deployment and industrial relations.
He represented the London Fire Brigade throughout the ill fated national Fire Control Project and represented the Chief Fire Officers Association as the Senior User on the national Firelink Project which delivered a digital communication capability to the UK Fire Service.
John was made an MBE in June 2014 for services to the Fire and Rescue Service. He became President in March 2017, taking over from Keith Phillips OBE and stepped down in March 2023, handing the baton to Chris Lucas.
Matt is an Assistant Chief Coastguard and has worked and volunteered in the public safety sector for over 22 years holding operational, tactical, and strategic command positions.
His knowledge of operational requirements critical to the UK meeting its international obligations under the Safety Of Life At Sea convention is second to none. Matt has supported the British APCO leadership for several years through the Executive Committee/Advisory Group and he's very much looking to continue to provide a voice for Search and Rescue services in line with other blue light services, as well as advocating the work of British APCO across public safety organisations within the UK and Ireland.

Founder and CEO of Black Marble, Robert is regularly called upon to speak on his specialist subjects including multi-platform development, software design, encryption systems, integration solutions and, increasingly, Artificial Intelligence. He has held Honorary Fellow in Computer Science at the University of Hull, as well as Fellow of the British Computer Society, Chartered Engineer, Microsoft Regional Director, and Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. He is a renowned software architect, with a particular skill for enterprise architecture and integration solutions. Robert is responsible for the development of tuServ, an offline-capable mobile-first platform designed to support front-line operational Police Officers
Steve is ACCA qualified and oversees British APCO's finances and accounts. He is available to deal with any queries about invoicing and payment.
Until September 2023 Teressa was Head of Business Relationship Management at Airwave where she managed the customer relationship with all Emergency Service and Public Safety Organisations that use the Airwave Radio Service, and their respective stakeholders.
Her working life started as a BT telephone operator handling 999 emergency calls from members of the public at times of personal crisis. Her 22 years with Airwave ensuring that the mission critical radio service is available to respond to those 999 calls, as well as planning and building requirements for a multitude of major special events, has cemented her appreciation of the importance of secure mission critical communications to user organisations and the communities they serve. A keen supporter of British APCO for many years, and as she is not ready for full retirement just yet, Teressa looks forward to bringing her experience, commitment, and energy to the team and wider British APCO community.

Tim manages sponsorship and marketing for our biggest event, the Annual BAPCO Conference & Exhibition held in March each year.
Tracy retired as Senior Officer in Hertfordshire Constabulary in 2023 where she worked predominantly in Serious and Organised Crime throughout her career.
She ended her career working across the seven forces in the eastern region where she established a successful track record of leading and delivering highly complex, strategic change programmes, effectively managing risk to drive business transformation and digital innovation. Tracy has now embarked on a new career within the Police Digital Services (PDS) where she has responsibility for the Digital Landscape Reform Programme which is overseeing the delivery of transition, control, and ownership of National Police IT Systems to the sector where PDS are the agreed delivery partner for Policing.
