Andi Powell

Andi is an ex-service user of Talking Money and understands the difficulties of managing the day-to-day challenges, especially in today's financial climate. She has worked for Stand Against Racism & Inequality (SARI) for the past 30 years and being a charity that seeks funding from local authorities and other avenues, she understands and appreciates the headache that goes with running a charitable organisation. On a personal note, she is a single parent of 2 adult children from the BAMES community.

Anna Brown

I joined Talking Money as Chief Executive in January 2019 and I now share overall responsibility for the strategic direction and ongoing development of the organisation with Kerryn. Working closely with relevant stakeholders, I represent the organisation externally, building effective partnerships with organisations, funding bodies and private individuals who support our work. I am delighted to be co-leading a well-established Bristol-based charity providing essential support for local people experiencing financial difficulties. Prior to my role with Talking Money, I spent 6 years working in corporate finance before taking a role with French NGO Entrepreneurs du Monde, wherein I established and developed social microfinance programs in Myanmar and Sierra Leone

Collin Salandy

Collin is a recent MBA graduate specialising in leadership and organisational culture. He would like to contribute especially by helping to hone our strategy and better serve our clients. His experience spans IT, sales, healthcare and entrepreneurial exploits. Colliin has a keen interest in social consciousness with a focus on homelessness and sees Talking Money as having a social conscience with its mission towards improving lives.

Kerryn Bell

Having previously project managed Talking Money's multi-agency debt advice partnership and having led Talking Money's development work, I went on to job share the Chief Executive role with Anna in 2020. Focused on designing more effective internal and external systems to better meet client demand, I am committed to helping take the invaluable work this organisation has been doing for over three decades to the next level and optimising our capability in helping tackle financial hardship. Prior to my 7 years at Talking Money, I worked for a range of third sector organisations across fields such as domestic violence intervention, youth work, child protection, supported housing and learning disability support. I have extensive experience of working directly with individuals in need as well as helping shape and design services. I have a first class BA (Hons) degree in Youth and Community Work, and diplomas in Youth Work and Supported Housing.

Neil Holliday

Neil has been a dedicated trustee of Talking Money since 2014 and became the Chair of the Board in 2015. Before giving his time to our charity he was a highly skilled actuary with over 35 years' finance experience. His financial background and role in the charity demonstrates his vision to inform and help people to manage their money in a healthy way.

Richard Ascroft

Richard is a practising barrister specialising in insolvency and commercial law. He has extensive knowledge and experience of corporate governance and wrote the Debt Relief section of a leading textbook on bankruptcy restrictions. Of his professional accomplishments, one is being a contributor to ‘Mithani: Directors' Disqualification', also known as the definitive work on the law relating to disqualification.

Richard Hicken

Richard is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and has 30 years' experience advising individuals and partnerships on insolvency solutions. It is excellent to have a solutions expert and Richard's working experience helps the board appreciate the stresses and strains a client may have when facing money problems.

Sue Tranter

Sue is an experienced Marketeer, having worked across large corporates through to SME's and entrepreneurs, specialising in Marketing Strategy, Branding and Communication. With a passion for improving people's lives for the better and a strong desire for individuals and their families to have access to good financial advice. Looking to contribute towards linking those in need to the charity via traditional and digital marketing methods.

Tamra Mannin

I joined Talking Money as a volunteer Money Advice Caseworker back in 1998 and become a paid member of staff in 2001. In 2012 I was appointed to the role of Money Advice Manager responsible for the delivery of our money and benefits service, and following an organisational review moved into the position of Partnerships Manager in 2019. I enjoy connecting and working with other organisations who are passionate about supporting vulnerable people in our community so that we may maximise our help and effectiveness for those that need it most. I also continue to take a lead on the delivery of our advice services both face to face and group sessions and am proud of the commitment and passion the organisation has for supporting people in all areas of money problems.
