Amanda Stofan, J.D. graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001, received her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2005, and achieved additional certification as a Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist. Of the 23,000 licensed Tennessee attorneys, fewer than 300 have met the rigorous standard to be board certified as specialists. She is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and serves as a Board member of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute. She also serves on the Board of Crabtree Farms. Amanda and her husband, Matt, have two young children and she is an avid supporter of the Tennessee River Gorge Trust and other local charities. Jerrold D. Farinash

Jerrold Farinash graduated with Honors from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and received his Juris Doctorate in 1982 from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Mr. Farinash focuses his practice on commercial bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Mr. Farinash was appointed to the Panel of Trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in 1990 and is assigned approximately 500 debtor cases a year for which he serves as Trustee. Some of the more notable cases he has handled are W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery, Scenic City Mazda, Don Williams Construction Co., Rivercity Co., and Prebul Automotive. Mr. Farinash is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. While a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association, he served as Chairman of the Fee Arbitration Committee and the Court Relations Committee. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Highland Park Neighborhood Association and the Tennessee Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Foundation. He is the Vice- President of the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga. He is a life member of the Tennessee Ornithological Society. He and his wife Christie have two children. Andreas School of Law (Barry University School of Law) in 2020. Rebecca enjoys bankruptcy law because it affords the unfortunate debtor the opportunity to obtain a fresh start.
