Altus History LLC was formed in 2007 after its founder discovered that many intelligent life-long learners were reading inferior books on Russian history topics because, on the one hand, these were promoted by the popular press and, on the other, books based on newly available archival materials were expensive and not well advertised. Further, American publishers were rejecting translations of works by post-Soviet Russian and European historians. Forty-four years' experience in publishing and teaching, with awards in both fields, generates and supports Altus History LLC books... Altus History LLC strives to deliver historical non-fiction on sigificant but neglected topics that are thoroughly researched, interesting, well-written, and affordable and also historical novels that are thoroughly researched.
