Derek Smith is Chairman and CEO of the Institute of Global Prescience, an interdisciplinary non-profit research, education and service organization dedicated to the pursuit of prescience - foreknowledge that anticipates global events and trends that are yet unseen. The company helped recover more than one thousand missing children. It created the first national background screening service for non-profit volunteers that identified more than 200,000 convicted criminals attempting to work with children - including 2,700 registered sex offenders. Additionally, ChoicePoint's philanthropic initiatives and employee volunteer efforts won the company recognition from groups as diverse as the US Department of Justice, the US Chamber of Commerce, and the Hands-on Network & Points of Light Institute. Derek is the author of three books. In his newest publication, "A Purpose Under Heaven," he uses allegory to explore how technology has influenced and changed human relationships. Matt Carey is executive vice president and chief information officer for The Home Depot. Matthew C. Blank in a career spanning three decades, has made a significant and indelible mark on the cable television industry. Peter A. Georgescu is Chairman Emeritus of Young & Rubicam Inc., a network of preeminent commercial communications companies dedicated to helping clients build their businesses through the power of brands. He served as the company's Chairman and CEO from 1994 until January 2000. Elected as the company's eighth CEO in 1994, Mr. Georgescu was the first chairman of Young & Rubicam Inc. born outside of the United States. Also during his tenure, Young & Rubicam built the most extensive database on global branding and, from its findings, developed a proprietary model for diagnosing and managing brands. In recognition of his contributions to the marketing and advertising industry, Mr. Georgescu was elected to the Advertising Hall of Fame in 2001.
