From humble beginnings rooted in a passion for plants, Ardmore Nurseries was established in 1973 by Allen and Barry Beaumont. The land was originally purchased by their father, Harry Beaumont, who served as major of Manurewa for a time and was a strong promoter of the establishment of the Auckland Botanic Gardens. The entrance of Katote Close was erected in 1986 in his memory. John and Susy Beaumont purchased Ardmore Nurseries in 1997 with their two children Kara and Richard joining in later years. Today the nursery remains in the family, with Kara and Richard now at the helm... Ardmore Nurseries is a wholesale trade nursery growing an extensive range of quality plants. We have a wide selection of trees, shrubs, climbers, grasses, perennials and ferns. We grow a wide range of New Zealand natives and popular exotic garden plants...
