AUSTRALIA AWARDS - MONGOLIA

Australia has provided development assistance to Mongolia for more than two decades. Long-term scholarships, providing opportunities for Mongolians to study in Australia, have been the cornerstone of this assistance. Scholarships offered under the Australia Awards are one way to address human resource needs in Mongolia and build people-to-people links... Australia Awards-Mongolia operates under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Australia and Mongolia. It is managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Each year Australia Awards-Mongolia is reviewed by a Program Coordinating Committee (PCC) that considers the activities and achievements of the past year. The PCC makes recommendations to DFAT for the following year. The PCC comprises representatives from the Government of Mongolia, Government of Australia, and stakeholder organisations.
