Alfonso Castro

Dr. Castro completed his undergraduate training in 1999 and his medical training in 2003 at the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Castro completed his post-graduate fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at University of South Florida, Tampa FL in 2013, and his Internal Medicine residency at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Chicago, IL in 2009. In addition to this, Dr. Castro received 2 years of training in General Surgery at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ in 2005. Dr Castro joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2013. He is board certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

Daniel A. Orlando, III

Dr. Dan Orlando specializes in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine Received Bachelor's degree and Medical degree at the University of Kansas. Completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine, as well as fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of South Florida. He is Medical Director of Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Morton Plant Hospital and is Director of Sleep Medicine at Bay Area Chest Physicians, where he has been in practice since 2004. He is also an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida School of Medicine. He has given presentations at international conferences and has had publication of articles in medical journals. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He lives in Crystal Beach with his wife Jennifer, son Nicholas, daughter Allison and dog Wrigley.

Deborah Mattson

Deborah Mattson, MS, PA-C - Physician Assistant obtained and completed her undergraduate and Physician Assistant training in 1994 at the University of Detroit-Mercy, Detroit, MI. She holds numerous years of Physician Assistant experience in the Emergency medicine in the area of healthcare. Deborah joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2016.

Eli Gavi

Dr. Gavi joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in July 2008 after completing his Pulmonary and Critical Care training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. He received his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.

Jeramy D. Mosburg

Dr. Mosburg completed his undergraduate training in 1999 at the Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK. He obtained his medical training in 2003 at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, OK. Dr. Mosburg then completed in 2006 his residency in Internal Medicine at Texas A & M/Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Temple, TX. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in 2009 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. He joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2016. He is board certified in Internal, Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine.

John A. Masson

Dr. Masson moved to Clearwater from New Orleans to join Bay Area Chest Physicians in June of 2002. He trained in Pulmonary/Critical Care at Louisiana State University Health Science Center at New Orleans. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He was Chairman of the Department of Medicine from 2010-2012. President of the Medical Staff elect from 2018 - 2020 and served as President of the Medical Staff from 2020 - 2022. During the initial phases of the COVID pandemic and in that capacity served on the Morton Plant Mease Board of Directors. He was the recipient of the Mitchell Weiss, Distinguished Physician Leadership Award in 2021. He continues to serve in various leadership capacities within Baycare Healthcare and is currently Chairman of the Medical Staff Quality Committee. He lives in Safety Harbor with his wife Jennifer and their sons Matthew and Dominic.

Joseph Romero

Dr. Romero completed his medical training in 2008 at the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Romero then completed in 2011 his post-graduate Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. He completed 2014 his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2014. He is board certified in Internal, Pulmonary, and, Critical Care Medicine.

Kenneth Cerreta III

Dr. Cerreta completed his medical training in 2011 at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Cerreta completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, LA in 2014, and Pulmonary-Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Utah in 2017. He joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2017. He is board certified in Internal, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Neurocritical Care Medicine.

Lucas A. Mikulic

Dr. Mikulic obtained his medical training in 2003 at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Mikulic then completed in 2008 his residency in Internal Medicine at Northshore Medical Center Salem Hospital, Salem, MA, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 2016 at University of Vermont, Burlington, VT. He joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2016. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Michael R. Lopez-Molina

Dr. López-Molina completed his undergraduate training in 2008 at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras campus and his medical training in 2013 at Ponce School of Medicine. Dr. López- Molina completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2016 and completed his post-graduate fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care at University of South Florida, Tampa FL in 2019. Dr. López-Molina joined Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2019 . He is board certified in Internal medicine, Pulmonary medicine and board eligible in Critical care medicine.
