Cathy Moors

Cathy Moors joined the practice in 2005. Cathy graduated as a dental hygienist from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. She worked in Winnipeg prior to travelling and working in Australia. Upon migrating to Australia, Cathy worked in Adelaide and then Melbourne where she has worked in general and specialist practices. Cathy is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia (Vic Branch). Cathy is proud of the services offered by dental hygienists and is committed to helping each person understand and care for their individual dental needs.

Dr Khanh Nguyen

Khanh Nguyen joined the practice in 2014. Having graduated from The University of Queensland in 2007, Khanh has provided her services both in Brisbane and far north Queensland, including at a mobile special needs dental practice. In 2011, Khanh was awarded a scholarship to study a research masters at The University of Melbourne. Her research was focused on adhesive restorations. She is also a clinical demonstrator at the Melbourne Dental School and has presented lectures for Dental Health Services Victoria. Khanh is a member of the Australian Dental Association (Vic Branch), the International Association of Dental Research, and the Academy of Dental Materials.

Dr Sophia Richardson

Sophia Richardson returned to Blackburn Dental Group in October 2016 following further studies in Australia and the UK. She is a Melbourne-trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and obtained her Dental and Medical degrees at the University of Melbourne, before completing advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After attaining her speciality fellowship FRACDS(OMS), Sophia undertook further subspecialisation in orthognathic and maxillofacial trauma surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (2012), and The Oxford University Hospitals Trust UK, where she was the Senior Clinical Fellow in: orthognathic and maxillofacial trauma surgery, salivary gland pathology, and head and neck oncology (2013-2014). Since her return to Melbourne and private practice, Sophia plays an active role in teaching maxillofacial registrars and in ongoing research in Australia and United Kingdom. She looks forward to participating in voluntary overseas surgical aid programs with her husband who is a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon. Sophia has two children, and outside of work she loves family time, photography, travel, architecture, and music.

Dr Vinny Wang

Vinny Wang joined the practice in 2021. After graduating from La Trobe University Bendigo, Vinny saw a need to service residents of country Victoria and continued to work in Shepparton and Bendigo. She later returned home to Melbourne and has since been working in the neighbouring community. In 2015-2017 Vinny was a demonstrator for the students at La Trobe University and she served as an examiner in 2017. Additionally, Vinny's passion to care for people in need led to her involvement in various volunteer dental programs both locally and internationally. Vinny is an empathetic and honest dentist who enjoys all fields of dentistry. She finds particular joy in helping patients overcome their fears of the dental environment through a patient and gentle approach to their treatment. Vinny is a member of the Australian Dental Association (Vic Branch) and is fluent in Mandarin.

Dr Wynne Yip

Wynne Yip joined Blackburn Dental Group in 2006 after having worked in various disciplines of dentistry since she graduated in 2000. She has been a clinical demonstrator/supervisor in the undergraduate teaching clinic at the University of Melbourne as well as the LaTrobe University Dental School in Bendigo. Over the years, she has participated in many dental health promotional events. In more recent years, Wynne has been involved as a volunteer with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in the provision of dental treatment to communities in remote areas of Victoria. Wynne is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Central Association of Dentists. She actively takes part in continued education courses on a regular basis. Her special interests are paedodontics (children's dentistry), oral rehabilitation and cosmetic dentistry and Cerec CAD-CAM restorations. Wynne is fluent in Chinese (Cantonese).
