Debra is an accomplished educational administrator, leader and academic, widely recognised for expertise in wellbeing and student diversity, invited nationally and internationally to lecture on building school and student capacity. She has a depth of educational management experience, holding leadership positions at several of Queensland's academically top performing schools and four appointments in the role of Principal at independent schools in Australia. Debra has also worked as an educational consultant advising boards and school leaders how to implement best practice and self-improving processes within their schools. Holding qualifications in law, education, governance and business administration, Debra is able to draw upon knowledge and experience at both strategic and operational levels. She is student focused and performance driven with a proven track record in raising student outcomes, strategic planning and capitalising on emerging business opportunities in the not for profit and independent schooling sectors. Focusing on quality and innovation, Debra has managed cutting edge clinical and early intervention programs, placing them as market and thought leaders. Throughout her career, she has successfully obtained significant grants for building, legal, allied health, research and educational projects and coordinated numerous philanthropic and government funded initiatives. Debra has been nominated for a National Excellence in Teaching Award on two occasions and was awarded a Commonwealth Summer School Scholarship in Literacy and Numeracy development. In 2013 she received a grant to visit India with her team and establish an allied health/education network between our two great nations. Debra has been the State Coordinator of the Attorney General's Family Law Pathways Network reflecting her need to give back to the community and build a better future for families.
