CANDIDA BEVERIDGE

Candida is a documentary maker who trained with the BBC. She has reported and produced a number of long form TV and radio documentaries for BBC TV and Radio, Channel 4, Discovery, Canal+, TVNZ, Prime-Neon, and written articles for The Guardian. She's worked around the world, specializing in stories from South Asia, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Her stories include reporting on the plight of female soldiers in Uganda for The Guardian. Her documentary series Reality Trip about sweatshops in Bangladesh, Philippines and Sri Lanka was selected for the Prague Film Festival. She was also nominated as best factual Series Producer for Grand Designs NZ in 2019. In 2022 she won "best new series" award or Down for Love which she wrote, directed and narrated. She has recently completed a premium funded, four-part series true crime series which she conceived, directed and co-produced for Discovery and Canal + due to premiere in 2023.She is an excellent story teller and can confidently navigate complicated..
