The Centers for the Developmentally Disabled North Central Alabama, Inc. (CDD NCA) is a private non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors. CDD NCA provides services and programs for individuals who are mentally and/or physically challenged, or developmentally delayed. These services range from early intervention services for infants and toddlers to residential and employment programs for adults... CDD NCA believes in the principles of normalization and providing services in the least restrictive settings possible. The mission of the organization is to provide support and services for people who are mentally and/or physically challenged, or developmentally delayed, that recognize each person's individual strengths, dreams, and preferences to empower him/her to live, work, and recreate in their community with dignity and the greatest degree of independence possible... CDD NCA's adult services are certified and monitored by the Alabama Department of Mental Health..
