Julia Tchernik, of the Chernik Music School, is a Toronto-based pianist and teacher. In her studio, she creates a vibrant and inclusive learning environment with many opportunities for students to compose, perform, play in duets and small ensembles and participate in engaging multi-art projects... Julia holds an MA in Musicology and a BEd in Fine Arts from York University, Toronto, an M.Mus in Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the State University of Culture and Arts, St. Petersburg and a B.Mus from Mussorgsky Music College, St. Petersburg... Equipped with her knowledge and more than 30 years of professional experience, Julia develops an individual learning plan for each student. Her approach not only helps students build reliable playing skills; it develops their musical potential to the fullest and inspires a life-long passion for music. In addition to teaching piano to students of all levels and ages, Julia works with pianists with playing-related injuries.
