Chickens By Design is dedicated to helping you find, care for and have fun with chickens in your backyard. Started by two dedicated New Zealand lifestyle block owners, the site has now passed to Fiona, who grew up with chickens (and ducks!) and vividly remembers her sister being chased by a Silky rooster around the yard... The chicken is one of the most common and widespread domestic animals. With a population of more than 24 billion in 2003, there are more chickens in the world than any other bird.
