He obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in business administration with a focus on marketing and information systems at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Mannheim. During his studies, he was part of an academic summer school in Cuba and spent an exchange semester at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Furthermore, Andreas has been working as a student assistant in the marketing area for several years and gained additional professional experience during an internship in corporate development.
Since September 2021, Andreas has been a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Analytics. As such he also joined the structured doctoral program offered by the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the University of Mannheim. His research interests center around digital marketing, with a particular focus on machine learning applications in marketing and the role of consumer online privacy.

From 2017 to 2022, Andreas Bayerl completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Behavior. After completing his Ph.D. at GESS, Bayerl was a postdoctoral researcher in Quantitative Marketing at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. Since fall 2023, he is an assistant professor at the Erasmus School of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
From 2013 to 2019, Andreas Lanz did a Ph.D. followed by postdoctoral studies at the Chair of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Analytics. Between 2019 and 2023 Andreas Lanz was an Assistant Professor of Marketing (tenure-track) at HEC Paris (France). Since September 2023 he is Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at the University of Basel (Switzerland).

From 2013 to 2019 Veronica Valli did a Ph.D. at the Chair of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Analytics. Her research interests were consumer decision-making and framing effects. Currently Dr. Veronica Valli is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Bologna.

Within a double degree program, he also acquired a Master of International Business from Smith School of Business at Queen's University in Canada. During his studies, Frank Ohnesorge worked as a teaching and research assistant in the Marketing area of the University of Mannheim.
He has both academic and professional experience abroad through various tenures and assignments in the US, Canada, Mexico and Spain. After multiple years of work experience in the automotive industry and in management consulting, Frank Ohnesorge joined the Chair of Quantitative Marketing & Consumer Analytics in September 2021 as a PhD Candidate. As such, he follows the structured PhD program at the Center of Doctoral Studies in Business at the University of Mannheim. His research interests are centered around Marketing Analytics, Customer Experience and Branding.

Leonie Gehrmann was born in Cincinnati, OH, USA. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Economics at the University of Mannheim, during which she spent a semester abroad at the Norwegian School of Economics. After an internship at the market research and consumer trends department of one of the world's largest insurance companies, Leonie returned to Mannheim to acquire her Master's Degree in Business Research with a focus on Marketing. During her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant and as a student research assistant.

Florian Stahl joined the Department of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim, Germany in Fall 2013, as a Professor of Marketing.
Florian Stahl's research interests are primarily in empirical quantitative marketing, marketing analytics and business economics. Specifically, his research addresses business related questions of the digital economy and the digital transformation of marketing process and strategies. In particular, his research interests include advertising, branding, digital (corporate) communications, economics of data, pricing of (digital) products, promotions, social media, user-generated content and competitive strategy. Methodically his research is based on empirical modeling, applied econometrics, machine learning and experimental studies (laboratory as well as field experiments). The results of Florian Stahl's research have been published in top-tier journals such as Journal of Marketing or Journal of Marketing Research and he won the 2012 H. Paul Root Award and the 2012 Robert D. Buzzell / Marketing Science Institute Best Paper Award.
Florian Stahl earned a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Zürich, Switzerland in 2001 and a PhD in Business Economics in 2005 from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Between 2005 and 2008, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Columbia Business School in New York. Before joining the University of Mannheim Faculty of Business Administration in 2013, he was an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Marketing in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Zürich.
