Daffin Marine is a Mercury, Evinrude E-Tec dealer as well as a Tohatsu dealer. Arrive by boat and you'll travel up the beautiful Miles River and not far from the Chesapeake Bay... Daffin Marine Service was started in 1982 by Capt. Dink Daffin. Dink graduated from St. Michael's High School in 1974 and then graduated from a two-year Vo-Tech auto field school. Dink worked at Piney Narrows Marina and at Reese's Auto for about 5 years on automobiles and commercial work boats. After starting Daffin Marine Service in a backyard shop in St. Michael's he became a Volvo Penta dealer in 1988. By 1990 Daffin Marine Service moved its business to the old smoke house on Rt. 33. In 1992 Dink and his former partner Ed "Bumper" Hause moved to his current location in McDaniel. Dink's extensive training in Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, Marine Power, Crusader, Velvet Drive, and also Tohatsu has helped establish his successful business and reputation.
