DATU WALI MISSION FOUNDATION

Welcome Established in 2007 by Dan and Aurea Evans, Datu Wali Mission (pronounced datoo wally), operates in the province of Sarangani on the South coast of Mindanao, Philippines. Our primary working area is the village of Wali, however our activities and assistance have extended to other parts of the municipality of Maitum and Sarangani Province. DWM has four principle objectives: Improve access to education for tribal and poor villagers, improve their nutrition, intervene medically when necessary, and address the spiritual condition of people in our area. DWM operates independently. We are not affiliated with any denomination or mission board, most of which no longer send foreign missionaries to rural areas in our region due to increased domestic terrorism. However, we adhere to conservative evangelical doctrine, and we have made ourselves accountable to the board of directors of the Datu Wali Mission Foundation, a U.S.-based 503c non-profit organization.
