Ariela Vasserman received her bachelor of arts in psychology from New York University and her masters and doctorate in psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She completed her predoctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center. She also received training at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Barnard College Counseling Center, Marymount Manhattan College Counseling Center, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, New York University Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, and Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
