EVCOT - Key Persons
Dr. Ali McKay is a native of Oregon and attended Eastern Oregon University and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry in 2007. She then attended Oregon State University and achieved her DVM in 2013. After veterinary school, she completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Washington State University, followed by a surgical internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center and a second surgical internship at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center in Connecticut, completing her studies in 2017.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. McKay stays busy with her daughter and their many animals, including ten cats, numerous reptiles, and their dog Ranger. Dr. McKay also enjoys visiting breweries, wineries, and is a member of a Salem dragon boat team.
Jeni Suubi DVM Education: Oregon State University DVM, Oberlin College BA (Dance) Dr. Jeni Suubi graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2010. Returning to her Alaskan roots after graduation, she practiced general medicine, dentistry and surgery. With a desire to be near family, and start an animal sanctuary, she settled on the Oregon coast, where she spent a decade at an urgent care clinic, nurturing her love for emergency medicine and surgery. She joined forces with the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin team in 2021. In her free time, Dr Suubi homesteads on her sprawling 20-acre forest, runs the dogs to the creek, and builds wood structures and habitats for the cats. She is grateful for her partner and son, who are tolerant of the many animals, and her channeling of Radagast the Brown. She loves to meditate and dance, and explore the wineries alongside Dr McKay.
Dr. Reza Sadreddin received his Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Portland Community College in 2009 and worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician at several animal hospitals in Beaverton area. He received his Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University in 2012 and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University in 2017. He completed his clinical year of his veterinary education at Oregon State University. Dr. Reza became interested in emergency medicine when he first joined Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin as a CVT in 2015. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and extremely values human-animal bond. He lives in Beaverton with his wife Razieh and their dog Rex. He spends his free time with his family, and enjoys outdoors, fishing, camping, traveling, handcrafting, drawing and gardening.
Dr. Rob Siefken grew up in neighboring Lake Oswego with several dogs, cats and fish. He remembers the compassionate care his pets and family received on several visits to EVCOT. Today, he enjoys working alongside several colleagues he met as a child. Rob discovered he had a gift with animals and he pursued a career in veterinary medicine, receiving his DVM from Oregon State University in 2014.Emergency medicine is often very fast paced with the first priority of stabilizing the patient. Dr. Siefken prides himself in identifying many of the latest treatment options and explaining them in an understandable way to the owners. Dr. Siefken enjoys surgical procedures (when appropriate) and has removed socks, quarters, and teddy bear parts from plugged digestive tracks. In his spare time, Dr. Siefken enjoys cooking and traveling with his family. His family consists of wife Kamille, their daughter Gwen and two elderly dogs Henry (a black Lab) and Delilah (a 3-legged Chihuahua rescue). Henry no longer plays fetch due to his aging joints and is content cleaning up the kitchen floor after Gwen's dinner. Delilah often plays hide-n-seek with Gwen and prefers the hiding part.
Dr. Sara Livesay graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2013. Dr. Livesay spent several years in a mixed animal practice on the southern Oregon coast before moving back to the Willamette Valley. She is very passionate about helping animals in underserved areas and has traveled all over the world providing veterinary care to animals in need. Dr. Livesay has a diverse array of professional interests including surgery, especially spay/neuter, dermatology, and hospice care. In her free time she is often found exploring new hiking trails, paddling the river with her dragonboat team, and taking long walks with her rescue pup Raider.
Greg Bishop graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 2013 and completed a one-year clinical internship at a specialty hospital in New York before returning to the west coast. He has practiced in emergency and general practice for over ten years, and also teaches at the Veterinary Technology program at Portland Community College. In his non-work life, he enjoys outdoor time with his family, drawing/writing/building or anything creative, and observing crow behavior at his local park.
Dr. Kamm Prongay received her Bachelors of Arts from Whitman College in 1985. She spent the next five years at sea with the US Navy, before coming ashore. She graduated from Washington State University in 1997, received her American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine and Feline) specialty in 2008, and completed a post-doctoral Master of Clinical Research at Oregon Health & Science University in 2013. Dr. Prongay has been interested in emergency medicine her entire career, and has provided relief services at Emergency Veterinary Clinical of Tualatin since 2008. When not seeing patients, you will find her writing, volunteering in Forest Park, or serving as an Oregon Naturalist. She lives in Portland with her wife, Liz, and two loving (but demanding) felines.
Nicole Chamberlin is a 2000 graduate of the Oregon State and Washington State joint veterinary medicine program. Her undergraduate studies at Reed College brought her to Portland from Alaska. She has worked at multiple small animal practices in the Portland area and at EVCOT in part time time and currently full time capacities since 2017. She has served on the board of the Portland Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) and is a member of the PVMA, American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. She has volunteered with PAW Team and the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon. She shares her home with her spouse, adult children and 4 cats. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, wine tasting, travel and spending time with friends and family.
