We have a long history of social justice activism in New Orleans, dating back to the civil rights movement. We're also committed to collective action with our community partners...
Our congregation was born in 1833 out of the radical heresy of Rev. Theodore Clapp, that God loves all humanity. The earliest days of our congregation found our ministers and members deeply involved in civic life, in issues of equity and justice, and this tradition carries through today. Through the individual and collective efforts of our members and friends, we work together to make this city and this world a better place.
