FVDSS

The Fraser Valley Down Syndrome Society (FVDSS) is a parent-run support group based in Abbotsford, B.C. for families of persons with Down syndrome in the Langley to Hope areas. We offer ongoing support in the way of monthly parent evenings and educational workshops, as well as information to new families, therapies for the children, and family events to help make connections between the families... We are a parent-run society made up of families from many different backgrounds but with a significant commonality. In each of our families there is at least one member who happens to have Down syndrome. This commonality has brought us together to form a unique and supportive community committed to sharing ideas, celebrating successes and helping one another through tough times... We offer support and resources for parents and caregivers, as well as therapies and programs to aid in the cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional development of people with Down syndrome.
