Brenda Alexander

Brenda has worked for veterinary practices since 1986 and came to Goodfriends in 1992. She is our Senior Receptionist in charge of managing the front desk and the receptionist staff, as well as handling all client accounts. Brenda and her husband, Bud, reside in Uncasville. They have three grown children, Kelsey, Jake, and Molly, and they share their home with their four cats, Gracie, Hank, Owen, and Daniel. When not working, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family, combing beaches for sea glass, crocheting, and seeing Broadway shows.

Colleen Strapazzon

Job Titles:
  • Practice Manager
Colleen joined Goodfriends in November of 2018. She was previously staying home with her three amazing daughters, Lillian, Matilda, and Amelia. She received her BFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, and earned her Certificate of Accounting in 2020. Colleen lives by the beach in Groton with her husband, Mike, their three girls, two dogs, Frances and David, two cats, Sophie and Todd, and two Bettas, Norman and Padraig. When not at the clinic, Colleen enjoys reading, spending time at the beach with her family, crocheting, and doing crafts with her girls.

Dr. Jennifer Dinwoodie

Dr. Dinwoodie is a Rhode Island native, growing up in the beach town of Westerly. She received a Bachelor's of Science in Veterinary Technology from Quinnipiac University in 2010, and is a 2014 graduate of the University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine. After enjoying her time in the midwest, she returned to New England to join the Goodfriend's team in June 2014 and took over ownership of the practice in August 2018. Dr. Dinwoodie especially enjoys working with our canine patients, though she also has a great love for cats as well. Dr. Dinwoodie currently resides in her hometown of Westerly, RI with her husband Albert, and her two sons, Landon and Wyatt. Their home is completed by their four-legged children: Remi and Ruger (both Redbone Coonhounds).

Dr. Nicholas Campbell

Dr. Campbell earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Quinnipiac University in 2009, and went on to earn his veterinary degree at Tufts Cumming's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Originally from western Massachusetts, he now resides in rural Connecticut with his wife, Heather and son, Jeremy. His fur family includes a yellow English Labrador named Eureka and two cats - Flynn and Jack Bristow. His professional interests include preventative medicine, abdominal ultrasonography, and soft tissue surgery.

Sara Misiaszek

Job Titles:
  • Technician
Sara has been with Goodfriends since April 2009, after receiving her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut. As a technician, she assists the veterinarians in all areas of patient care, including in the exam rooms, treatment area, or surgery. Sara resides in Norwich and spends the majority of her time with her family in Canterbury, with her two Bernese Mountain dogs, Chase and Grace, and her two Italian Greyhounds, Vincenzo and Massimo, who often accompany her to work. Also, her family has three horses that keep her quite busy. When away from the clinic, Sara enjoys reading, watching the major Boston sports teams, horseback riding, and playing pool.

Susan Sullivan

  • Veterinary Technician
Susan has been a Veterinary Technician since 2000 and came to work at Goodfriends in 2004. She is our Senior Technician, responsible for coordinating the schedules of her fellow techs and the medical management of our in-hospital and surgical patients. Susan assists the veterinarians in all aspects of patient care and her favorite duties include dental and surgical case management. Susan resides in North Stonington with her two dogs, Patsy Louise and Bonnie Mae Belle, and her two kitties, Taylor and Teagan. When away from the clinic, Susan volunteers for Phoenix Rising Equine Rescue and Sanctuary in North Stonington. She also enjoys spending time with her three nieces, Lilly, Matilda, and Amelia. They keep her very busy. She enjoys country music and would travel to the ends of the earth to see a George Strait concert!
