IL GHIOTTONE UMBRO

We are a danish couple, who are very passionate about everything regarding food, hospitality and all the good things in life - from when we plant a seed in the garden till we harvest and transform the produce into a tasty dish. We love to cook old traditional dishes, but we get equally excited when a new dish is created... We wanted to take a step back and "smell the roses" finding a more fulfilling way of life, while sharing our little part of Italy with guests from all over the world... We took the big step and moved to Italy in 2010. We are both educated chefs and have always worked in hospitality. In Copenhagen we operated an Italian restaurant and enoteca for 12 years. But we were ready for a new adventure - we wanted to be closer to the roots of this fantastic "cucina" that has filled our lives with joy for so many years. We wanted to be able to pick the best vegetables from the fields, the best meats from the local farm or the forest and be able to buy that perfect pecorino..
