JACQUELINE FELSTEAD

JACQUELINE FELSTEAD completed submitted her PhD in 2022 at the Victorian College of the Arts University of Melbourne, where she lectured in Sculpture 2019-2021. Her PhD is titled Loss in a simulated environment and was undertaken with the support of an Australian Postgraduate Award. Felstead's research focuses on art and computing through the relationship of digital environments to lived experience. She attended the Royal College of Art, London from 2017-18, undertaking Associate Research after being awarded the coveted Anne and Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship ($100K AUD). Felstead previously completed a Masters of Fine Arts (Research) at Monash University in 2014. Felstead was an artist in residence at Banff Centre for Art, Canada in the program Digital Promises with funding from the Mary E Hofstetter Legacy Fund for Excellence in the Visual Arts and an Asialink artist in residence at Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking, Singapore, funded by Australia..
