Frans is a former General Secretary of National Union of Mineworkers, one of the largest unions in South Africa. He has served in various national forums such as the King II Committee which developed the Chapter on Sustainability as well as the National Electricity Forum which led to the establishment of the National Energy Regulator (NERSA). He brings a range of skills and insights, among them governance, education and training, stakeholder management and collective bargaining processes to the Board.

Lindani started his career at AngloGold and later moved to Anglo American Platinum as a Production Manager.
He is a co-founder and Executive Chairperson of Siyanda Resources. The company has grown from the value of R3m in 2003 to over R400m to date. Lindani co-established interests at Koornfontein Coal, Eloff, DMS, Masa, Kalahari and Kangwane Anthracite mines. Lindani was part of the team that drafted the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act.

He has extensive experience in the fields of management, training, human resources, communications, corporate affairs and business development. Mangisi also has proven experience in leadership and mentorship. He has been a lecturer, as well as Chairman of various professional bodies and associations.
