Los Pueblos was established in 2003, originally named "Florencia's" after the beloved founder, Florencia Smith. She is widely known in the lakes region as the heart and soul behind our authentic Mexican cuisine. Born in Oaxaca, Mexico and raised in Acapulco, she moved to the Okoboji area in 1982 to start a family with her husband, and Okoboji native. She brought with her delicious family recipes from the heart of Mexico as well as a passion for people and the work ethic of her home village... Every Mexican restaurant is different, no two are the same. Here at Los Pueblos we take pride in that, as we believe we have a one a kind atmosphere and culture. It's not unusual to see dancing, laughter, and tables talking to each other... We are a family owned business known for serving the best food around and have a fun, festive atmosphere to match.
