Alexandra Hodges-Oakes

Job Titles:
  • Teacher
Role: Teacher I started my teaching career in 2020 when I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Later that year I was fortunate to be able to join the Marlborough Family where I feel very much at home. I feel privileged to see the world through the eyes of the children, sharing their learning experiences every day and grateful that I can have fun whilst doing something I love! Outside of school I live with my boyfriend Will and our fluffy family. We have five rabbits called Harry, Fish, Bramley, Braeburn and Chips. We also have few fish (one of which I've called Moo because he looks like a cow!) and a squirrel called Compass who we rescued during lockdown. I am a real homebody so you will usually find me at home or in the garden with the rabbits. However, if I am out, I love to visit the beach, go for walks through forests… and browse around Hobbycraft! I love crafting and spend most of my free time learning new skills and starting new projects. Swimming, baking and photography are also some of my hobbies. My favourite holiday destinations are the Greek Islands. As a child I spent a lot of time visiting numerous islands with my parents and it brings back such lovely memories.

I am surrounded by fields and woodland and spend most my free time out walking my dogs Barney and Lea. I have many favourite places, Bath being my favourite city, especially during the winter holidays. I also enjoy going to France on holiday. I love musicals, especially if Alfie Boe is singing.
