Diana Gualda is our full-time, in-house process specialist. As a self-proclaimed organizer of chaos and information addict, she combines insights gained across diverse industries to infuse operational solutions with unconventional ideas, clever strategies, and unique advantages. After implementing groundbreaking improvements to processes at Amazon, Facebook, Tesla and more, she has brought her expertise to MGPA!

Eddie Miramontes

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Eddie Miramontes has more than 9+ years' experience as an architectural CAD and Revit Drafter, 5+ years with MGPA Architecture. His focus has been on school district modernization and full campus design projects with our Chief Design Architect and Principal of the firm. His previous experience includes large-scale commercial, industrial, and residential projects from pre-design, schematic design, to documentation of projects. Eddie has led many commercial tenant-improvements, façade-remodels, and new projects through the permitting process (using Revit) and has collaborated and coordinated with many clients, consultants, and city officials along the way. He brings his extensive technical Revit knowledge to all projects, as well as his proactive and positive approach.

Fred Gualda

Fred Gualda has close to 40 years of experience, 25+ years at MGPA Architecture. The vast majority of his work has consisted of educational projects. He has extensive specification writing and construction administration experience, which together with his familiarity with state and governmental agencies unite to provide a complete product design and delivery system for all projects he undertakes. Fred has utilized every type of project delivery system including CM at Risk, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build and Lease-Leaseback. He values establishing long-term professional relationships and takes great pride in delivering successful projects which meet or exceed deadlines. This has resulted in numerous projects with the same clients repeatedly during the last several decades.

KATHERINE TRABADO

Ms. Trabado has been exclusively designing school projects since 2000. She has been responsible for all phases of project delivery and has a thorough understanding of building codes, as well as an extensive knowledge of the DSA process. This includes approval and closeout, RFIs, submittal review, and all documentation related to project certification. She works closely with our Principal and Chief Design Architect and has been responsible for all consultant coordination for the projects she is overseeing.

Lorie Culp

Marie Amaro

Having a unique background in both Business Administration and Architecture, Marie Amaro brings a diverse skillset to her role at MGPA Architecture. Before starting her career in architecture, she worked as a business and marketing consultant, where she developed and executed successful strategies to help businesses achieve their goals. Following her passion for architecture, Marie went back to school and earned a Master's degree in Architecture.

Perry Pursifull

Licensed in 1989, Perry Pursifull has over 31 years of experience, 21+ years at MGPA Architecture. He has been exclusively designing school projects since 1995. His broad understanding of construction materials and methods is expertly expressed on paper and in digital format. He has extensive specification writing and construction administration experience. Perry's extensive projects have been multifaceted, comprehensive, and diversified from simple relocatable classrooms, modernization projects, master planning, to much larger ones such as the San Diego Convention Center #1 with a $130 million-dollar budget. He also worked on the San Diego Airport Expansion, and his experience and leadership set the production standards for the firm. In addition, Perry brings a unique perspective to the educational environment being not only an architect but also a teacher, as he taught computer graphics for many years. This expertise is invaluable during the initial programming phases and helps clients know they have an ally as part of their team.

Sandra Rearte

Sandra Rearte has over 22 years' experience, over 12 of which were spent with MGPA Architecture. She began designing projects in 1998, from simple relocatable classrooms and modernizations (both large and small) to complex entire new campus design and has significant experience working exclusively on educational projects since that time. Sandra has been assisting Principals of architectural firms, along with Chief Design Architects and Project Architects in producing all stages of project documentation, renderings, utilizing AutoCAD. Sandra has been responsible for all phases of project delivery including design development, client relations, consultant coordination, construction documents, DSA approval, bidding, construction administration and project close-outs.
