MOORE QUALITY PEST CONTROL - Key Persons

Chris Moore - CEO

Job Titles:
  • CEO
Christopher Moore started Moore Quality Pest Control in 2008 after having worked in the pest industry on and off since 1998. Chris started his career with Clark Pest Control, where he was a top sales producer and technician, and later worked as a route manager for Pointe Pest Control, which was sold to Terminex in 2008. Throughout his career, Chris became familiar with the industry business practices and wanted to start a business that values customers, offers a quality experience, and features services that are tailored to customer needs. He noticed that pest control companies generally fall into three categories: 1) larger companies or major corporations that often buy out smaller or start-up companies, 2) start-ups with the intention of flipping to the major/larger companies, and 3) independent or small companies, including "mom and pop" operations. His vision was the latter - to start a family business that represented the heart of the community, that would not dilute quality by selling to a larger corporation and that continues placing customers at the center of service. He wanted to provide his family a legacy to build upon for future generations. "I figure I could start my own business, where I can be in charge of my own destiny and earning potential. I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit," Chris said. In the past, Chris has owned a children's consignment store, as well as graduated from the San Joaquin Delta College Police Academy and has been an Emergency Medical Technician. However, his interest in pest control brought him back to the industry. Chris has been involved in youth athletics for more than 20 years, having coached at Tracy Express Girls Softball, Babe Ruth Baseball, Tracy Unified School District (boys' basketball) and various competitive softball travel teams. Chris is the head coach of the girls' softball program at Millennium High School in Tracy, where most of his children graduated. Outside of pest control, Chris is passionate about his family, coaching youth sports, animals and his granddaughter Isabelle Mia Moore. "I'm passionate about coaching youth because I like to be a part of developing character among our youth," he said. "Aside from our business and my family, coaching is my life." An interesting fact is that Chris, who is an avid animal lover, used to raise Nigerian dwarf show goats.
