The college was founded in the year 1980 with the aim of meeting the growing demand for Higher Education in this part of the rural region of Kaup Taluk, Udupi District Dist... Vidyavardhaka Sangha, the Educational Society which has been managing the College has always aimed at spreading education among the rural people who are the backbone of the country. It has always believed that the salvation of any country depends directly on its education system. Hence its name "Vidyavardhaka Sangha".
