Since last several years, the Missionary Personnel working in the Diocese of Amravati have been engaged in the various forms of Social Services - both Institutionalized and Community based. In 1983 a Diocesan level Social Centre was created to monitor the fruitful implementation of various Social Service Programs of the Mission Diocese. Initially the Social Service Activities mainly consisted of different kinds of Charitable and Welfare activities including the "Food for Work program" supported by different Donor Partners. Creation of Community Assets like construction of village roads and bridges, rural employment creation, construction of wells for the rural communities, agricultural activities like land leveling, stone bunding, rural infrastructure building activities etc were the key programs implemented by the Diocesan Social Centre from 1983 to 2011.
