PAVOL CAPIK

Pavol Capik designs and manufactures furniture and interior accessories. He graduated with a Master's degree in product design from the Design department of Technical University in Košice, where he currently works as an assistant. He produces his own line of products in which he combines contemporary design with a reference to the craft, craft elements and techniques. He works mainly with a plywood, displaying its natural structure by a layering technique. The material in his products gains another function and becomes itself a decoration. His interest in design, in addition to precise craftsmanship, is logic, elegance and quiet beauty of the final object.
