Karen has been active in politics for thirty years and has practical experience of every level of Government during that time, principally as Chief of Staff to a Scottish MEP. During her tenure as a City Councillor in Aberdeen, Karen was also Convenor of Grampian Fire Board and office bearer of a Scottish political party. Karen has experience in dealing with the Civil Service both at Westminster and Scottish levels. Karen's experience includes time spent working for a Regulatory. Karen is well known and respected in political circles and has long established linked with many Scottish Local Authorities.
