Adam Van Lune

Job Titles:

Adam graduated with honours in an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy from Centennial College in the fall of 2022. His strong trouble shooting skills, care, and attention to detail are a great mix for rehabilitative Massage Therapy. Adam is interested in working with a wide variety of clientele, especially in the course of their rehabilitation. He will be pursuing further education to improve the ways he can help the community and his clientele. In Adam`s spare time, he enjoys camping with his wife and family, playing video games, and playing ball or wrestling with his dog.

Austin Gaber

Austin achieved his degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario. Previous to this, he obtained a degree in Physical and Health Education at the University of Toronto. Austin spent four years in Toronto at a highly prestigious Sports Medicine clinic and then returned to his hometown of Belleville. 
Over the past few years, Austin has taken a variety of postgraduate courses to enhance his skills in manual therapy and acupuncture, including a specialty course in Intramuscular Stimulation (GUNN IMS). Austin is passionate about sports medicine and has received his Sports Certificate through Sports Physiotherapy Canada. He has had the privilege of working with a variety of teams within the OHL, NHL, NCAA and was the Team Physiotherapist for the National Taekwondo Squad, for which he travelled to many world championships. Austin has his Black Belt in Karate and is passionate about the mind, body, and soul. Austin lives in Belleville with his wife, two children and dog.

Brandon Bates

Brandon grew up twenty minutes outside of Belleville, on the family dairy farm. From a young age Brandon had a passion for sports and outdoor activities. He applied a strong work ethic learned on the farm to excel in both academics and competitive sports. Brandon focused mainly on playing competitive hockey and baseball during his youth and teens, while expanding his experiences to rugby and football in high school. It was at that stage in life when Brandon first recognized his dream of becoming a physiotherapist, while shadowing here at Quinte Orthopaedics. In pursuit of his career goals, Brandon completed a Bachelor of Honours Degree Specialization of Kinesiology at Western University. He specialized in the areas of exercise physiology, biomechanics and athletic injuries. Brandon then achieved a Masters of Physiotherapy degree from Queen's University. As a lifelong learner, he has completed coursework from Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and most recently earned his Level 2 Medical Certification as he purses excellence in treating golfers. Other post graduate education includes Gait and Lower Extremity Biomechanics, Soft Tissue Release, and Mobilization Techniques. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, when Brandon is not in the clinic you will most likely find him on the golf course, at the ski hill or exploring nearby outdoor activities. You can expect Brandon to bring an energized, positive and enthusiastic approach each and every day. He looks forward to creating fun and professional relationships with all of his new clients, while empowering them to move and perform at their highest level

Claire Nash

Claire is a registered physiotherapist who joined the Quinte Orthopaedics team in 2013 after successfully completing her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Prior to her Masters degree, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with distinction at the University of Ottawa. Claire has always had a desire to work in the health field with individuals of all ages and abilities and is passionate about injury management and prevention through a combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise rehabilitation. Since graduating, Claire has completed a variety of continuing education courses, including, Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture, Levels 1, 2, and 3 working towards a diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, optimizing knee osteoarthritis management, the role of physiotherapy in preparation & recovery of cesarean birth, sport physiotherapy taping, and an advanced shoulder course. She recognizes the importance of ongoing professional development in order to implement best practices and facilitate a timely return to work, sport, and extra curricular activities and help patients achieve and maintain optimal physical function and well-being.

Dr. Andrew R. Pickle

Dr. Andrew Pickle completed his Medical degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland and his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at McGill University. He did his subspecialty fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at the University of Ottawa with Dr. Don Johnson. The same year he also received his Diploma of Sports Medicine from the Canadian Association of Sports Medicine (CASM). Dr. Pickle has always enjoyed teaching students and colleagues. As chief resident, he was awarded McGill Resident teacher of the year for both the orthopaedic program and Department of Surgery. As a staff Surgeon at Quinte Health Care has given several CME talks and has been invited twice to be an instructor at the Master's Knee course at the AANA learning center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Pickle also has published peer reviewed articles and written a chapter on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injuries in the textbook, Practical Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. Dr. Pickle's practice interests include hip and knee arthroplasty, complex knee and shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine. He has been the team Physician for the Belleville Bulls since starting his practice in Belleville, and is a member of multiple national and international associations.

Dr. Dan Steinitz

Dr. Dan Steinitz began his musculoskeletal training in the Human Kinetics program at the University of Guelph, where he earned an Honors Bachelor of Science. After completing his Medical Degree at Dalhousie University, he went on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McGill University. While in Montreal, he also completed a combined trauma and wrist surgery fellowship. Dr Steinitz has published multiple scientific articles and presented research at international meetings. He has been an active staff surgeon at Quinte Health Corporation for the past 11 years. His current practice includes speciality surgery for trauma, post-trauma reconstruction, and wrist surgery. He also practices general orthopaedics, including knee and hip arthroplasty, foot and ankle surgeries. When not working, Dr. Steinitz can be found on the local waters where he is an avid sailor, racing one-design sailboats, windsurfing and kite surfing.

Dr. Herbert Ling

Dr. Herbert Ling earned his Medical Degree at McGill University in Montreal in 1982 and received his Orthopaedic Surgery training at Queen's University in 1987. During his fellowship Dr. Ling had the privilege of working under Dr. R Bell, Dr. R. Richards and Dr.JP Waddell at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. He specialized in tumour surgery, upper extremity reconstruction and joint reconstruction with each of these doctors respectively. He then spent from 1988 - 1993 at York Central Hospital in Richmond Hill. In 1994, he moved to Belleville and joined the Orthopaedic team at Quinte Health Corporation, where he presently has a busy practice. He is excited to be joining the team at Quinte Orthopaedics as a long time dream to better the services in the Quinte Region for musculoskeletal care.

Hui Li

  • Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Registered Acupuncturist
Hui Li graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a medical degree in 1992. Her major was Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was a six year program and acupuncture was an integral part of the training. Hui began her career at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guanganmen Hospital for more than seven years before she immigrated to Canada in 2000 with her husband. Hui is a registered member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturists of Ontario and is the only member in the Quinte Region. Hui has been with Quinte Orthopaedics since 2012 and has helped numerous individuals with chronic pain and disease. Acupuncture aims to balance the energy and blood in the body in order to keep it functional and healthy.

Jeanette Buskard

Jeanette grew up in Belleville and graduated from Centennial Secondary School. She continued her education at Loyalist College taking the Recreation and Leisure program. Jeanette is a mother of two and loves to be surrounded by friends. She enjoys travelling and vacationing to Portugal to visit her family.

Jess Pym

Jess is orginally from Toronto, Ontario and moved to Bellevlle at a young age. She graduated from St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School, and continued her education at Loyalist Collage as a Personal Support Worker. In her spare time, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, being out on the water in the sunshine, and vactioning all over the world!

Jill Pascoe

Jill joined the Quinte Orthopaedics team in 2009 after successfully obtaining her Masters degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. Prior to this, she received an Honors Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University. Jill is committed to continuing education and has completed many post-graduate courses including acupuncture, therapeutic taping, K-taping, soft tissue release, prevention and treatment of running Injuries, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and an advanced shoulder course, as well as the first 3 levels towards a diploma in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. Jill has completed advance training in the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and has a particular interest in pre and post-natal populations and has recently received Gunn IMS Certification. She enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities and is committed to helping improve and maintain optimal physical function, overall fitness and well-being. In her spare time, Jill and her husband keep busy with their three young children and when time allows she enjoys practicing yoga, running and playing soccer.

Marcus Sullivan

Marcus began his post secondary education at McMaster University enrolled in kinesiology, where he also played varsity rugby. Upon graduating in 2012, Marcus returned to McMaster for a second degree in Life Science before pursuing chiropractics the following year. During his time at CMCC Marcus developed an interest in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. He is currently working on his certification in DNS through the Prague School of Rehabilitation and is a certified acupuncture provider. After graduating with honours from CMCC Marcus returned home to Belleville where he has worked as a chiropractor since 2017. He remains involved in the community as a member of the Loyalist rugby staff.

Megan Hamilton

Megan joined the Quinte Orthopaedics team in 2018, after successfully completing her Master's of Science in Physical Therapy at Western University. She previously received her Bachelor of Science, Honours in Bio-medical Science from the University of Guelph in 2016. Megan is passionate about growing her knowledge base with continuing education and has completed her Level 1 course in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. She has also completed specialized concussion, ankle and TMJ courses as well as her Mulligan concept courses and her Level 1 Monarch Motivational Interviewing course. Megan enjoys working with people of all ages with a special interest in optimizing people's function, especially those with degenerative conditions such as arthritis. Megan enjoys cycling, squash, and cross-country skiing and spends her weekends camping and canoeing in the area.

Niki Hamilton

Niki grew up in Belleville and graduated from Quinte Secondary School. She enjoys spending time with her family and two little dogs, as well as camping and hiking in local parks.

Rebecca Dimitry

Rebecca graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy in 2003 and a Bachelors Honours degree in Kinesiology in 2000. She joined Quinte Orthopaedics in 2011, after moving from Barrie. Rebecca holds a certificate from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. She has completed extensive education in the area of orthopaedics, earning a Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 2013. In addition, Rebecca is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. Rebecca has a special interest in spinal disorders, complex shoulder problems and sports specific injuries. She also has extensive training in post-operative rehabilitation. Her treatment techniques consist of utilizing manual therapy to restore joint and tissue mobility, modalities/acupuncture and focused exercise programs to restore function. When not working, Rebecca lives an active lifestyle with her husband and two very busy young boys on a farm just outside of Belleville.
